These Terms govern use of Stellar Inc.'s website and, where applicable, access to the SENTINEL product. By using the website or accessing the product, you agree to these Terms. If a signed customer agreement (MSA, subscription, or BAA) exists, that agreement governs the product and controls in the event of a conflict.
SENTINEL is a documentation-integrity software product for skilled nursing and post-acute providers. It is observe-only: it surfaces documentation completeness and timeliness information to authorized users and does not make clinical decisions, provide medical advice, or write back to the medical record. SENTINEL is in active development; some described capabilities are not yet generally available.
SENTINEL supports documentation and is evaluated against public CMS documentation standards. It is not a medical device and does not provide clinical, legal, coding, reimbursement, or compliance advice. Stellar does not guarantee any audit, payment, survey, or reimbursement outcome. Clinical and compliance decisions remain the responsibility of the provider and its licensed professionals.
The product is made available only to providers (and their authorized users) under a written agreement. You agree to use the website and product lawfully and not to misuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt to derive the underlying methods of the software.
The website, product, and all underlying software, methods, and content are owned by Stellar Inc. and protected by law. No rights are granted except the limited right to use the service under an applicable agreement. "SENTINEL" and related marks are claimed by Stellar.
Our handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy. For provider data, the applicable BAA and customer agreement govern.
The website and any pre-release product access are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stellar is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of or relating to the website or product.
Use of the SENTINEL product is governed by the signed agreement between Stellar and the customer (MSA, subscription, and/or BAA). These website Terms do not grant any right to the product absent such an agreement.
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
